Built in 1954 amid towering pine trees at Wallowa Lake Oregon, the original Russells had three tables inside and many outdoor picnic tables in the shade. A small menu featured homemade hamburgers and fries.

A violent windstorm in Thanksgiving 1984 devastated the Russells building, resulting in LOTS of building repairs...and a few menu updates.

Three lovely ladies meet a handsome buck in Russells outdoor dining area! Though the Russells building was completely rebuilt in 1994, the basic "good food" menu remains intact and the outdoor seating area is as popular as ever--- especially with the local deer that mooch more than Bullwinkle and Yogi put together ! A very expanded menu is available both outside and in the air conditioned dining room that seats 70.
